Dear Charlotte: My sincere condolences on the loss of your beloved husband. Our family has enjoyed the Rifleman for years. Just this month we discovered it was available to watch again, and are enjoying it again. I like to look up show trivia while watching and discovered the news of Johnny's passing. How sad I felt at his loss, especially the last living link to a classic show. His wonderful boyish smile still the same after all the years. I especially felt bad to learn of his suffering a horrible disease. I empathize, my sister lost her husband this year to a horrible disease, he was only 71. That Johnny was taken at 75 still seems like he was too young and we were cheated. But thanks to him for hours of good will and moral entertainment, that will live on.
