The Sheridan episode comes to mind - “Died, Johnny? Such men never really died” - that’s what a pensive Gen. Sheridan says to Johnny Reb (Frank Blandon), & it’s kind of the way I feel about Johnny Crawford - in the limelight his whole life, yet a more grounded friendly unaffected individual you couldn’t find in this world Lovely posts, especially your poem Norma
