Johnny's and Chuck's portrayal of son and dad had a profound effect on my life. That's a testament to the inspired writing and directing and their great acting. There is no greater Blessing for an artist than to know his/her work will go on entertaining and motivating others. I, like I'm sure so many others continue to watch "The Rifleman," and so does my youngest teenage son ... so Johnny's performance continues to entertain and motivate even the younger generation. RIP Johnny. This world is a lesser place without you in it.
