Johnny, Charlotte, and Bobby, I grew up watching Johnny as Mark in the Rifleman. We watched every show and have watched many reruns for decades. I believe it was either 2019 or 2020 that Johnny was to be the main celebrity for the JOHN WAYNE BIRTHDAY celebration in Winterset, Iowa. I wanted to go, but didn't make it since it's memorial weekend it occurs each year. If it was last year, all festivities have been canceled due to covid-19. Now I read about his alzheimer's disease. My heart goes out to you all. My sister-in-law, Cheryl, was only 40, when she died from early onset Alzheimer's disease!! She had it between 8-14 yrs. My husband's 2 brain autopsies showed the following: .. Lewy body dementia causing his visual/violent hallucinations like Robin Williams had; .. neuro borreliosis/chronic LYME/tick disease; ** these 2 alone made his brain worldwide history being the 1st with these 2 diseases. he was supposed to be written up in a scientific medical journey with ME as the 1st author of this case study. * also found a cluster of 24 filarial nematode parasitic worms having LYME inside of them. * pathologist did NOT publish this as promised... * bartonella aka cat scratch disease, 2 species.
* she didn't publish this as promised to me either.
