So sad to hear of Johnny's passing. Spent my childhood watching the Rifleman and wishing I could be Mark or at least his best friend and share his wild west adventures. God bless him and his family.

I am one of many who remembers Johnny from The Rifleman. My dad and I watched every western series on TV in the good ole days. While time has marched on, I will always hold Johnny in my heart for the joy he brought to us kids wishing we could be just like him. Rest in peace, Brother Johnny Crawford. You will be so missed. Until we all meet again in the great beyond!

Johnny has been a part of my life through film since i was about 5 years old (am now 63). The part I remember most is watching Johnny on Rifleman with my mom, dad, sister and brother. My brother and I always sat on the floor as close to the TV as possible (I don't know why). I will miss you very much. I do still watch METV Rifleman re-runs, just finished one prior to writing this guestbook entry. To Johnny's family... I am so sorry for your loss, he was a fantastic person who I will not soon forget. May God Bless and Keep You All.

"The Rifleman" stood out among the plethora of westerns of it's time (and beyond). It had a secret weapon. And that weapon was Johnny Crawford. The father/son relationship depicted by Chuck and Johnny (and the show's writers) was always the heart and soul of the show. I believe this is why the show has endured and continues to hold such a special place in so many old (and young) hearts today. I know that Johnny was a multi-talented guy and touched so many people in so many different ways, From all accounts, he was a down to earth, fine human being. For my generation, and many more to come, he will live on forever as Mark McCain as well as in his other endeavors. The world is a bit sadder today. Condolences to all of Johnny's family and his many, many friends. Including the one's that he never knew or met. Like me. Happy Trails, Johnny. Vaya con Dios.

R.I.P. Johnny. I was so in love with him from the first time I saw him on the Rifleman. I love his music and have Alexia play it all the time. My dad passed from Alzheimerโ€™s, itโ€™s such a horrible disease. I also lost my beloved niece last month from COVID. I pray for his family to find comfort in all of his fans that loved him throughout his life.

My wife and I are sorry to learn of Johnny's passing from this life. Yet we pray that his wife, Charlotte, his brother, Bobby, and the many legions of family and friends will be comforted by the eternal truth that Johnny is now celebrating his wholeness in Heaven and has been totally delivered by a merciful God from the limitations of this life. God bless you all!

I recently "discovered" The Rifleman and most of the draw was Johnny Crawford's remarkable performance. Then, one day, he grabbed a guitar and sang "Greensleeves". I almost turned over in my chair. It was so unexpected. It was one of the most beautiful, gentle performances I had heard on a TV series. His voice was like silk. I am so very sorry for the family's loss. His talent will not be forgotten, and apparently, as I am discovering, he touched many generations with his exceptional performances on "The Rifleman" and other shows. Some 60+ years later new fans are being made, and I am glad to be one of them. Sincerely, Greg Howell
