I just got the sad news of his passing. I grew up watching him on The Rifleman. Itโ€™s the end of an era. That show had so many positive life experiences. I still enjoy watching the reruns and Iโ€™m so sorry for his family. He will live forever in our hearts. God bless him and his family.

With all the things he did in his life - acting, fencing, bronco busting, music, roping, all manner of horseback riding such as cattle drives etc....mayb the most impressive is, for someone who was famous throughout his whole life, how humble & grounded he was - canโ€™t be grateful enough to Charlotte for her weekly updates - to her, his brother Bobby, sister Nance & all his many loved ones & friends.....God bless

It's with great sadness that i write this, thanks Johnny for the many years of entertainment I experienced watching the Rifle Man, and Listing to Johnny's in my early years. I pray for His Wife and family, having watched my own Wife pass away from Cancer just over a year ago, makes one think how precocious life can be.

I was saddened to learn of Johnnyโ€™s passing. He was my TV idol growing up. I was glad to have met him in person during one of his stage performances and it also happened to be his birthday that day. I was fortunate to contribute to his Go Fund Me when it was established. To this day I still play his songs on my playlist. My thoughts are with his family.

Great actor, played his role well. Watch the show over and over. Showed how young persons should behave and get the love of their parents. Praying he had a great life. Blessing to his wife brother and all of the family.

So very sad to hear about Johnny Crawford passing. We have been watching him for years on the Rifleman on ME TV. I was always struck by his acting ability, being able to hold his own with the adult actors. Very impressive. I often thought watching the show, how is he able to convey the perfect emotions and facial expressions for every scene being so young? Johnny did a commercial a few years back for ME TV. We are surprised and saddened at his passing. Hard to watch the show now. Tanya & Troy

So very sorry to read the news of Johnny Crawfordโ€™s passing. I watch faithfully the reruns here in the Boston area of the Rifleman What a great enjoyable TV show that displayed the rewards of honesty integrity and family values I donโ€™t see many TV shows like that today. Johnny Crawford was a natural. We will miss him.

So sad to hear of Johnnyโ€™s illnesses and death. Enjoyed The Rifleman as a child and rediscovered it again while staying home during the pandemic. I was impressed with how genuine his acting was and the emotions he so effortlessly portrayed. I hope he realized the joy he still brought to people & that brings you comfort..

Johnny stabled his pinto horse ("Two Bits" which was given to him as a gift) at Fred Bales Stables on Riverside Drive in Burbank; my sister, Carolyn, and I stabled our horses there as well. I think Bobby Crawford also stabled a horse there but I'm unsure about that. I have two very vivid memories of Johnny. The first -Johnny and and another round actor, Joel Thomas who stabled his horse at Bales, had a running feud which finally came to a fight - very one-sided - Johnny won. My second memory - when Johnny got his driver's license he also got a car, a Chevy convertible I think but that was 60 years ago. Johnny, took my sister and I to Disneyland and his fans hounded him all over the park. He asked me to go to Main Street and buy a disguise so he could see there park in peace, I was about 12 and I was afraid they'd ditch me so I say no. I regret that decision to this day.

I used to run a Celebrity site that I heard Johnny was a fan of. That was kind of cool to me. Our local station is running a Rifleman Marathon. The kid was a natural. My condolences. As someone said, Another piece of my childhood gone. With any luck, he and Pa are together again. RIP Johnny
