Grew up watching The Rifleman which was an enjoyable show every Sunday evening at 8.30pm. Sadly, they don't make shows like that anymore.

Johnny's and Chuck's portrayal of son and dad had a profound effect on my life. That's a testament to the inspired writing and directing and their great acting. There is no greater Blessing for an artist than to know his/her work will go on entertaining and motivating others. I, like I'm sure so many others continue to watch "The Rifleman," and so does my youngest teenage son ... so Johnny's performance continues to entertain and motivate even the younger generation. RIP Johnny. This world is a lesser place without you in it.

I am so sorry for the loss of Johnny Crawford. I use to watch The Rifleman growing up and still do. I always thought he was so handsome and very smart. It is with heavy sadness to hear about the passing of one of my favorite actors. To the family and friends, you have my condolences and my prayers. I was watching one of the Riflemen's episodes and Googled his name, that is how I found out about his homecoming. RIP Johnny. Remember family that Love never dies. ❤

The Sheridan episode comes to mind - “Died, Johnny? Such men never really died” - that’s what a pensive Gen. My Tribute to Johnny The sun is setting over North Fork. The streets are empty and all is quiet at the McCain Ranch. The fire is out in the fireplace and the barn door is shut. Mark gathered up some of his favorite belongings…his guitar, his trusty lasso and Pa’s Bible. He is saddling up Blue Boy one final time. Mark can now join former residents of North Fork and Johnny can join his parents, Chuck and former Mouseketeers and actors in taking a final bow. And Chuck is greeting Johnny and saying…”Heaven is a new and mighty fine place”...knowing it was hard for Johnny to leave everything behind. I just watched the Celebration of Johnny's Life. Though we "grew up with" him, our loss is nothing compared to that of his family and personal friends. God bless you all. I live near the Ranch where he got the black and white horse - Valley Mount south of St. Louis. I rode there many times. Happy Trails Johnny.

A very special celebration of life of Johnny! So happy to see it!! Thank you very much to the family and wife and close friends that help create and share this wonderful event to the public and fans. At 48 years old watching movies and tv series. Haven`t seen an actor as charismatic and emotional as Johnny Crawford. He is the best child actor of all times, like Steve mentions! He always puts more attention to others than himself. He had all the qualities to be a top adult actor star and singer! If only he would have been more greedy and asking for favors! But that wasn`t Johnny Crawford... We could have seen more of him on tv and the movies. But happily he found purpose and joy in his orchestra, Probably one if not the best professional career achievement. I think he had incredible pride on is orchestra. Bravo Johnny! An amazing person, Super human to others, kind and so polite to everyone. He loved people so much. He comes from a wonderful family his niece is so nice and sincere talking about him and everyone, including fans being so kind to him. He has a super smile... Read more

i have written on this wall before, and i am writing on it again because i'm watching the rifleman as i'm typing right now... seeing johnny's face brings me joy but with tears. it makes me wish that he could have lived forever as if he was the most beautiful human being on earth, and that i've looked up to for the past 12 years of my life. i met johnny in arizona in 2012, and he sang to me and danced with me... i was only 5. i've been watching him since i was able to remember what it was like watching him... bless his heart. i miss johnny so much. i think of him everyday...

I just found out about Johnny’s passing, with such sorrow to here this. I am 75 years old and grew up watching the Rifleman, and still watch reruns every day. Johnny was such a great actor and musician, I remember him singing one of the songs he sang to his girlfriend on the show a few years ago, brought back memories. Prayers to the family.

Johnny was such a great actor. It is so sad that his memory left him. He is in Heaven now and completely healed living it up with his "second Pa", Chuck. May all his Family and Friends be Blessed!
